Merry Christmas

Hey everybody!

Laurie and I want to wish you a Merry Christmas.

I know we have been bombarded too, with ads and news and songs..I even recorded a couple of songs...so I am just as guilty in burgeoning the season with more stuff.

We have been most lacking in wishing those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, joy in your faith and blessings in your time of worship.

Happy Hanukkah, dear friends. May your Menorah burn bright and your oil be ever plentiful.

Happy Kwanzaa too and don't let your gifts overtake you, may you always find peace.

We are having a fun time dancing and singing in cold Iowa, in fact, my mother-in-law is hooting it up right now as Laurie and her father tap dance around the kitchen... right on.

Christmas eve service was special as we sang two services. There is always a remembrance though that Cedar Rapids downtown was basically destroyed by the floods of 2008. So many people are stranded and destitute in what should be joyous days and solemn evenings.

It is hard to think of the less fortunate with so much caterwauling upstairs, but it is only a scratch of the surface and the moment seems eternal.

Many people have sent us cards and have wished us well. Thank you! Love is forgiving these who fail to send you cards.

Thank you to all who have taken the time to help us bring a brighter light to Kansas City.  Especially those closest to us, Laurie's colleagues, former and current at The Wolf, you have been tremendous. You should see the light in her eyes when she talks about you. She always has a smile in her voice because, in no small part, of you. Thank you.

Also to my partner Marcy Chiasson, who toils endlessly to make KCMETROPOLIS.org shine like the beacon it is meant to be. And our contributors therein, may your days be filled with the gift of music always, as you have added immeasurably to our fair city. Your work acts as an example to all that nothing can get one down if one doesn't let it. Please know that we cherish every participle of you, even the ones we have to cut!

Our folks, friends and fans.
Last but not least! However, at the moment my fingers are frozen and I must get warmth going. Without your constant support and love, Laurie and I would be nothing...that really means you, Moms, literally...but in terms of our spirit and wellbeing, all of you have contributed to keeping us sane and more than prosperous,in sheer love and support. Thank You.

Our very best to you and yours!

Sincerely, Nathan and Laurie Granner
