Hey KCM group people and fans and supporters/friends,

Happy New Year.
This year I resolv to spehl bettuhr.

I want to thank you personally for joining this group. adn you contributors I want to thank for making the effort to see that people in your town are getting the recognition they deserve.

KCMETROPOLIS.org... before I go any further with this writing... We are at 449 members as of this writing. Please encourage your friends to join this group. and break us over the 450 mark. all we need is one and then we shoot for five hundred.
******************************
I'm not just saying this for our benefit...to get more people for the sake of getting members...This is a working and functional group. Our writers are really writing about the performing arts in KC. Some of you may have just joined, so please note that you can go to KCMETROPOLIS.org and read some of the best writing on performances and productions happening in Kansas City...THEN you can come here and post pictures, and whatnot and talk about what you saw...and/or read.

Someday, when we get funding, we will be able to get a site that functions fully for us, allowing YOU greater access to interacting and posting your own events.

For now we are being generously presented and incubated by Presentmagazine.com. They have everything else that we don't. They even cover health!
******************
If you are a performing artist or work in any related field, here are two things I would encourage you to do here on KCM.

Post your events here. Not only can you send your events to 'fiona's list' (the KCM Calendar) at info@kcmetropolis.org, but also here on the wall at this facebook KCM group.

if you make an "event page" just copy/paste the url and then give us a little tidbit of what the production is.

Second, invite your friends/family who you think are ultimately interested not only in what you do, but who are also interested in the performing arts to the KCM Group.

We are slowly, virally, growing a grassroots movement here. People who are members of KCM should be interested in hearing about your event and those of others, not just intrinsically, but because there is a willingnes to go out and see your performance.

From your individual website, to your information packed facebook page to the KCMetropolis group and website, you should have a start to more fully promoting your work and getting people TO YOUR Show.

Too long a post?? Sorry. I get carried away when doling out the good stuff.

Anyway, please forward the KCM group to your people, helping us get over the 500 mark and beyond. Because, really, the better WE do, the better You do, because we ARE you. Hows THAT for a pitch?

Enjoy!
