A Little Opera

Nathan Granner - A Little Opera Nathan Granner
Download A Little Opera for your season opener.

I know, it sounds corny, but you can blame my mom.

Anyway, it's a light five song ep (extended play) album excerpted from a live concert the Kansas City Wind Symphony.
The story is that the soprano (hear her in the Rigoletto duet) Gwen Coleman Detweiler and I sang together in church choir in our high school days. She graduated a year before I did and it wasn't until a decade later that we both learned that we were both opera singers.
We bumped into each other at a Met Audition...and personally, I think she got robbed of placing, such a brilliant sound. It wasn't until a few years after that we got this opportunity to concertize with the Kansas City Wind Symphony.
It was a splendid night in the sanctuary where we grew up. There are some more songs that Gwen sang as a solo that aren't on here. I'll let her release that, but we do have a couple of duets, theGilda and Duke duet from Rigoletto and Make Our Garden Grow.
Some of the proceeds of any sale from this recording will go to the Kansas City Wind Symphony. At this point, the recording will only be released online, but if you would like to make a CD of it, your purchase of the high quality MP3's can go directly onto your computer and subsequently onto a cd of your choice. It makes the music less expensive and totally portable for you. YES!

PLEASE forward the link to your friends and tell them to enjoy... A Little Opera.
Merci!
