How About See You Later?

I'm not about to say goodbye.

I have trouble with goodbyes; they make me think of unwarranted finalities.

So I spent the month in Florida in residence at Escape to Create in Seaside. My abode was an apartment just off the ocean. Ok, not just off the ocean, but a minute and a half walk to it...less by bicycle.

There were three other artists there; Two writers and a visual artist:

Lyndsey Ogle - of  The Man Fast blog

Francis X Pavy - painter / printmaker /sculptor/ vidographer of the iconic southern folk / urban storytelling realm (work shown without permission)

and Roger Reid  - author of young adult novels Longleaf and Space as well as a cool paleontology read coming out this fall. And a writer/producer/director of Discovering Alabama

I guess what I'll do is give you a story or two about hanging out with them in the next few entries. For my part, it was a whirlwind of ideas and paper and faxes and my guitar. Most of the stuff I worked on is not blogable,

but here's the first edit of my new single.
I like it.

best,
Nate
